What You're Buying
WebGenie has two separate paid products, refunded differently:
- Buy This Site — £35, one-time. A single, non-recurring payment that unlocks downloading one generated site. There is no ongoing subscription to cancel.
- Editing — £12/month, recurring. A subscription that unlocks editing on all of your sites, up to 20 edits/month, billed monthly until you cancel.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to a full refund within 14 days of any purchase — the £35 one-time purchase or your first £12/mo editing charge — no questions asked.
After the 14 Days
The £35 site purchase is non-refundable after the 14-day window, since it's a one-time payment with nothing further to cancel.
The £12/mo editing subscription becomes non-refundable for that billing period after 14 days, but you can cancel at any time — your editing access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused time in a billing period once the cooling-off window has passed.
How to Cancel Your Editing Subscription
You can cancel your £12/mo editing subscription at any time by:
- Emailing us at webgenie16@gmail.com with the subject line "Cancel Subscription"
- Including your account email address in the message
We will confirm cancellation within 1 business day. Your editing access continues until the end of the billing period. This doesn't affect any site you've already bought — you keep the download either way.
Exceptions — When Refunds Are Granted After 14 Days
We may grant a refund outside the 14-day period in the following circumstances:
- The Service was unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to our fault
- You were charged incorrectly or charged twice
- A technical error prevented you from using the Service entirely
We assess these on a case-by-case basis. Contact us with evidence and we will respond within 3 business days.
Accounts Terminated for Policy Violations
Free Generation
Generating and previewing websites on WebGenie is free and carries no charge, so no refunds apply to it — refunds only relate to the £35 site purchase or the £12/mo editing subscription described above.
