WebGenie is a tool for building legitimate websites. This policy defines what you may and may not use WebGenie to create. By using WebGenie, you agree to comply with this policy at all times.
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities.
What You MAY Use WebGenie For
- Business websites, portfolios, and landing pages
- Personal blogs and creative projects
- E-commerce and product showcase sites
- Non-profit and charity websites
- Educational and informational content
- Event and booking pages
- Any lawful commercial or personal purpose
What You May NOT Use WebGenie For
- Phishing websites designed to steal credentials or personal data
- Fraudulent, scam, or deceptive websites of any kind
- Sites promoting or facilitating illegal activity under UK or EU law
- Sites containing or promoting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we will report this to the NCA
- Malware distribution, ransomware, or hacking tools
- Sites that infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, or patents
- Sites promoting terrorism, extremism, or political violence
- Sites promoting hatred based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability
- Adult content or pornographic material
- Sites promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Counterfeit goods or impersonation of real businesses or individuals
- Spam websites or mass unsolicited communication tools
- Sites designed to spread misinformation or disinformation
- Cryptocurrency scams, pyramid schemes, or unlicensed financial services
Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The content of websites you generate and publish
- Ensuring your websites comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Obtaining any necessary licences for content you include (images, fonts, text)
- Adding your own privacy policy and legal pages to any website you publish commercially
- Ensuring AI-generated content is accurate before publishing it
WebGenie is not liable for any content generated at your direction or any consequences of publishing that content.
AI-Generated Content
WebGenie uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate website code. Please be aware:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies — always review before publishing
- We do not guarantee generated content is free from third-party IP claims
- You are responsible for verifying that generated content does not infringe any rights
Enforcement
We monitor usage for policy violations through automated systems and manual review. If we believe your use violates this policy we may:
- Issue a warning and request removal of offending content
- Temporarily suspend your account pending investigation
- Permanently terminate your account without refund
- Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities (NCA, Action Fraud, or local police)
